Account managers liaise between companies and their customers; they build and manage mutually beneficial client-company relationships. An account manager is responsible for addressing customers’ needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible, ensuring company offerings meet clients’ needs.

As the main point of contact with clients, they craft the customer’s journey and may be involved in making upselling and cross-selling products and services. They assist in handling client complaints, collecting and analyzing data, and improving the overall customer experience.

They also aid and collaborate with internal departments by sharing collected information, such as sales leads or testimonials, and identifying industry trends. Their primary responsibilities are building relationships, managing projects, collaborating, communicating, and strategizing.

 

Role Objectives

  • Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals
  • Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients

 

Responsibilities

  • Handle inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs
  • Stay on top of accounts, making sure clients receive services that are within their budget and meet their needs
  • Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve the customer’s journey
  • Collect and analyze data to learn more about consumer behavior
  • Generate progress reports for clients and senior leaders within the organization
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with the sales team regularly
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services, keeping accurate records pertaining to inventory and account notes
  • Resolve complaints and prevent additional/future issues by improving processes

 

To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Internship or professional experience in a sales or customer service role
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

 

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback
  • Proficiency with common customer success and customer relationship management software, such as Zoho
  • Professional studies and/or certification (ex: from Strategic Account Management Association)

The Sales Closer role is for an ambitious and results-driven individual who excels at turning leads into clients. You will work directly with potential customers, utilizing your communication and negotiation skills to close high-value sales in the personal development field. Experience selling services to U.S.-based clients is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions
  • Close high-ticket sales and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Conduct follow-ups with leads through phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings
  • Track sales activities and client interactions using CRM tools
  • Provide feedback and insights on client responses to improve sales strategies
  • Sell services to U.S. clients and develop strategies for handling U.S.-based clients

Requirements:

  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Proven experience in sales, with a track record of closing high-ticket items
  • Experience selling services to U.S.-based clients
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a pipeline of leads
  • Familiarity with personal development or coaching programs is preferred
  • Comfortable with virtual sales processes (phone, email, video calls)
